I started my genealogical journey seven years ago back in 2008 as a favor for my father who always wanted to know about his family tree. I always had a mild curiosity about our family history, it was interesting to hear my grandmother talk about our families history. I never expected to fall in love with genealogy, my intention when I started out was to complete a series of small tasks and give some information to my father, the end. Well anyone who's done genealogy knows just how intricate it is, I had no clue what I was getting myself into! I would find a clue such as a census record (I started off searching for my great-grandmother) and just HAVE to find the next record or bit of information. Needless to say I quickly became addicted!Ifound myself staying up to all hours of the night, I would sit down at the computer to do a simple search and the next thing I knew it was the crack of dawn with daybreak on the horizion. I hadn't been able to stay up that late as a teen, let alone would I think I could stay up all night in my twenties but I did without even trying!

Well now in my thirties I've decided to start a blog,my goal with this blog is to share my information I've learned along the way as well as to share the rest of my genealogical journey with you. I would also like to help by posting how-to's and such, maybe even connect with some fellow genealogist along the way!

I use multiple sources to do my research. Of course Ancestry.com. Some others are:
Family Search
Find A Grave
Roots Web
Also I use Google to search, I will do a how-to post shortly, and Facebook has been a lifesaver! (Search for Facebook genealogy groups in your area or a area you are researching)
